Overview

Creative Studio is an export tool built into Top Performing Creative Reports that allows you to turn your creative performance view into a clean, presentation-ready image or GIF. Instead of taking screenshots of your report, use Creative Studio to customize and export your selected creative cards as a PNG, JPEG, or GIF for use in Google Slides, reporting decks, PDFs, and other client deliverables. When exported as a GIF, animated creative will continue to play when added to Google Slides.

Step 1: Open Creative Studio

From your Top Performing Creative Report, click the Creative Studio wand icon located next to the report view controls. The Creative Studio window will open. Your current Top Performing Creative Report configuration will automatically carry over into Creative Studio, including your applied filters and the creative cards currently selected for display.

Step 2: Load or Save a Preset

Presets allow you to save Creative Studio configurations and reuse them for future exports. This is especially useful when you’re creating the same type of creative performance slide for recurring weekly, monthly, or quarterly reporting. If you’ve previously created a Preset, select it to load your saved Creative Studio configuration. To create a new Preset:
  1. Configure your Creative Studio view.
  2. Enter a name under Preset Name.
  3. Click Save Preset.
You can return to this Preset the next time you need to create the same type of export.

Step 3: Select Your Creative Cards

Creative Studio will initially pull in the cards you’ve selected within your Top Performing Creative Report. Under Select Cards, choose which of those creative cards you want included in your final export. For example, your Top Performing Creative Report may display eight ads, but you may only want to feature the top four in your weekly reporting deck. Select the thumbnail for each creative card you want included.

Step 4: Choose Your Export Format

Select the format for your Creative Studio export:
  • PNG – Best for a high-quality static image.
  • JPEG – Useful for a static image with a smaller file size.
  • GIF – Best when you want animated creative to remain animated in your presentation.
Tip: GIFs will continue to play when inserted into Google Slides. If you want to minimize file size or avoid the distraction of continuously looping creative in your presentation, use PNG or JPEG instead.

Step 5: Configure Export Options

Transparent Background

Enable Transparent Background to remove the background from your export. This can be particularly useful when adding the Creative Studio export to a branded presentation where you want the existing slide background to remain visible.

Resolution

Choose between 1x, 2x, or 3x resolution.
  • 1x – Smaller file size and standard resolution.
  • 2x – A good default for most presentations and reporting decks.
  • 3x – Highest resolution for situations where image quality is the priority.
Higher resolutions will generally produce larger export files.

Step 6: Customize the Appearance

The Appearance settings are optional. If you’re happy with the default Creative Studio design, you can leave these settings unchanged. For more control over how your export looks, you can customize:
  • Background Color
  • Card Background
  • Text Color
  • Border Color
  • Border Size
  • Card Spacing
  • Font Size
  • Font Weight
  • Zoom
  • Preview Columns
Preview Columns determines how many creative cards appear in each row before wrapping to the next row.
Note: To select a custom Background Color, make sure Transparent Background is turned off.
Use these settings to better match your Creative Studio export to the formatting and branding of your presentation.

Step 7: Highlight a Metric

Use Highlight Metric to call attention to a specific KPI on each creative card. Select the metric you want to emphasize, then customize the chip color and text color used to highlight it. For example, you may choose to highlight ROAS when presenting your strongest efficiency performers or Spend when reviewing your most heavily scaled creative.

Step 8: Export Your Creative

Review the Creative Studio preview to make sure your cards, formatting, and highlighted metric appear as intended. Click Export to generate your final file. Your Creative Studio export is now ready to add to Google Slides, reporting decks, PDFs, or other client-facing materials.
